Rebecca Barrett has served as Vice President, Senior Legal Counsel of EQT Exeter since March 2022, where she plays a role in EQT Exeter’s legal operations. In her role at EQT Exeter, Mrs. Barrett is responsible for drafting and negotiating documentation related to EQT Exeter’s day-to-day real estate operations, inclusive of leasing, acquisitions, and asset management. Further, Mrs. Barrett is responsible for various corporate legal matters including the launch of EQRT, fund and entity formation, resolving disputes, and negotiating and managing third-party contracts firmwide.
Mrs. Barrett collaborates closely with the executive team, including the General Counsel and CFO, to drive EQT Exeter’s corporate legal strategies. Her role extends to managing outside counsel and liaising with third-party service providers to support EQT Exeter’s real estate endeavors.
Prior to joining EQT Exeter, Mrs. Barrett managed Campbell Soup Company’s “Snacks” real estate portfolio, where she handled all property acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing. In her role at Campbell Soup Company, she drafted and negotiated various real estate related documents and served as due diligence lead in connection with property dispositions and a handful of the company’s mergers and acquisitions. Prior to her time at Campbell Soup Company, Mrs. Barrett worked as an attorney in the real estate and corporate group at Baird Mandalas Brockstedt.
Mrs. Barrett holds a J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and is admitted to practice law in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
